Our life philosophy..

BE THE CHANGE

The Cadet Maxim:

RISK

more than others think is safe.

CARE

more than others think is wise.

DREAM

more than others think is practical.

EXPECT

more than others think is possible.

To try to live by these principles we have partnered with several local non-profit agencies and every time you use our services we donate a portion of the proceeds to one of these charitable organizations in Utah.

We have listed our partner 501c3 organizations below and ask you to choose the one you want to see benefit by your purchase.

The Christmas Box International

The Christmas Box International

We partner with local, national, and international groups to improve the quality of life for children, teens, and young adults who are victims of abuse, neglect, trafficking, or are facing homelessness.

In 1996, founder and New York Times best-selling author Richard Paul Evans created a safe place for Utah’s children, a Christmas Box House, naming the charity after his first novel, The Christmas Box.

In fiscal year 2023/2024, we served 13,667 at-risk children.  Our programs help at-risk youth by providing emergency shelter care, give a happy holiday season to children and youth, and serve teens transitioning out of foster care. We are constantly striving to help more kids and look to the community, businesses, and foundations for their ongoing support.

Kids Play International playing sports in Rwanda

Kids Play International

Founded by 3-time Olympian Tracy Evans following a volunteer trip, r to Rwanda, Africa in 2008, to promote gender equity and the Olympic values by introducing less familiar sports to children in post-genocide affected countries. One of the founding principles of the Olympic movement is non-discrimination; everyone should have an equal opportunity to achieve his or her full potential.

KPI leverages the power of sport and the Olympic values in a safe space so girls and boys can positively challenge and shift harmful gender, social and cultural norms. Sport has been proven to provide a unique environment where harmful norms can be renegotiated giving girls the same opportunities as boys to reach their full potential.

Genocide adds another layers, making gender equity more challenging, as the trauma of conflict where women were the victims of torture, rape, and other acts of gender based violence still lingers.

We believe that sport can serve as a powerful medium for shifting attitudes, behaviors and even social norms about gender equity.

Make a wish foundation

Make a Wish Foundation

Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

When a wish comes true, it creates strength, hope and transformation in a child - and a community.

Research shows a wish can give kids the strength to fight against and even overcome a critical illness.

A wish renews hope, uplifts spirits and encourages the belief in the impossible.

A wish forever transforms the lives of children, their families and entire communities.

A wish unites neighbors, friends and entire communities in life-changing experiences.

Adopt a Native Elder

Adopt-A-Native-Elder (A.N.E.) serves to help reduce extreme poverty and hardship facing traditional Elders living on the Navajo Reservation. A.N.E. is a trusted humanitarian organization focused on delivering food, medical supplies, firewood and other forms of Elder support. Respecting the tradition and dignity of Navajo Elders, we create relationships and honor and serve the Elders.

The Program is organized in the Native American Spirit of the Giveaway Circle. The Giveaway Circle has a tradition of giving the best that we have. That may be a gift of time, talents or skills, or actual gifts of food and donations. When asked what the boxes of food meant to her, Ruth Benally explained that they were like "miracles from the sky." The miracle is the letters and gifts that arrive from people that they don't know and may never meet.

For over 30 years, Adopt-A-Native-Elder has used an integrated approach to go beyond charity to assist indigent Elders on the Navajo Reservation in Utah and Arizona.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah, we believe that every child has unlimited potential, and that it only takes compassion and a small amount of your time to make a difference in their life. For children facing certain challenges, we find that they flourish with a positive, present influence, and end up going farther in school and life.

We encourage Bigs and Littles alike to come together to improve the future of our youth!
